After collecting email lists, you will need to add all the contacts to your account.

For this segmentation, you can run an experiment to see their open rate. Then you can segment them into different groups according to their engagement.

You will get some benefits from this segmentation after the main campaign. Then you will be able to monitor which groups from the segments are more interested.

Step 5: Choose an Eye-catchy Mobile-responsive Email Template

After choosing all these, you need to choose an attractive and mobile-responsive email template and layout that will increase the open rate.

You can depend on different types of email marketing tools like Constant Contact, MailChimp, MailerLite, CampaignMonitor, SendinBlue, HubSpot, Drip, ConvertKit and so on tools to choose the perfect template.

These tools will provide you with a drag and drop editor, email automation workflows, autoresponders, triggers, segmentation, image and text customization and so on to make your template better.

Step 6: Structure Your Email as Well-decorated

It is not enough to use the perfect template, you have to decorate your template so that your audiences feel the need to click and open your email.

You have to write such readable and audience engaging content so that they feel eager to read the content.

Use such a question in your content that is related to your customers interest.

You can use funny images related to your subjects and before running your campaign you can test your images, visuals, videos and content via A/B testing.

Survey says that emails with visuals have the higher click rate, open rate and fewer bounce rate.

Try to use standard and relevant images with high resolution that look refreshing on any kind of device.

As well as, you have to set a short and attractive subject line or title of your template.

And you have to keep in mind that, after reading this subject line, people decide whether they will open your email or not. That’s why it is so important for email content.

You should keep your subject line around 20-22 characters or 3 to 5 words and try not to enlarge it. Because Larger subject line is a reason for increasing the bounce rate.

Now come to the CTA button. Among the three parts of an email template, subject line, email body and CTA button, subject line and CTA is the most important part for pinching audiences to click on your email.

You should use a clickable , actionable and visual CTA and place it at the right and perfect position on your template. So that, people don’t have to hesitate to click it any more.

Visual CTA can increase higher conversion rate and click through rate.

You can run a test upon this CTA by placing it in a different position and sending all these different CTA templates to some people.

After testing and getting the highest clickable CTA, you can use it for your final campaign.

And don’t forget to check the spelling of your email’s content with caution.

Because spelling mistakes can bring a negative impression to you of audiences and they feel bored. Then the click and open rate will be decreased in a ratio.

Step 7: Preview and Test

Preview and test is so important before any email marketing campaign.

If you are a newcomer in this sector, some errors can remain in your content or visual’s position, CTA position and graphics, template choice and so on, that won’t catch your eyes.

But when you will test your templates, you will be able to identify errors that are unexpected.

And if you send these emails without any testing, you won’t get your expected result anymore.

Step 8: Send Your Email at the Proper Time

At a time, 10 AM , 3-4 PM was considered the perfect time for email sending.

But nowadays, this timing has changed.

I will suggest that, when you test your email after preview, send your test emails two weeks regularly and see the time period when audiences click and open in your email more.

And at last select that time for sending your targeted emails to your audiences.

Step 9: Monitor and Track the Result

After sending emails, you need to check the bounce rate, open rate, click-through rate, unsubscribe rate, spam rate, revenue per email, ROI from email conversions etc to judge the success rate of your effort from your email marketing.

All these results will show you which person is interested in you, which one isn’t ,who is the most interested, who opened your email immediately and so on , information that you must have to know to judge your future customers.

So, I will suggest that you analyze all of your email marketing reports in a cool environment and in a fresh mind.

This report will silently show you whom you need to target for selling your products, increasing your visitors etc.

If you don’t get your expected result at your first campaign, don’t lose hope. Segment all those lists who haven’t clicked on your emails.

And then resend your email again only to those people. And check whether they click at your email or not.

After running this campaign, you can do another important task for your further needs.

You can segment your customers depending on their location, interests, new subscribers, open rate, inactivity and so on that you see for usage in future.

You can remove the inactive leads from your lists if you want.

Lastly, you should keep in mind that, after one or two campaigns, you won’t get your targeted leads and customers at any chance.

You will need a deep analysis on people, their interests, eagerness to identify your real customers and visitors.
